I'm Eve's HomeCare - Care Coordinator in Minneapolis. Wishing you well and hope you are back here soon. I'm keeping Larry up to date, also.

Re: Things I’ve Learned About This Experience, So Far…

Remember the only "dumb" question is the one you don't ask. Everything is fair game when you are a parent. You are Eve's best advocate and she is counting on you.

Re: Things I’ve Learned About This Experience, So Far…

I usually go in with the mindset that parents trump doc & nurse, so while they have to do what they have to do... they have to explain it ALL to me first. If that means drawing me a picture, so be it!

I'm glad to hear that your iphone has been helpful to you. Kailey's surgery is June 5th and I don't have a laptop... just the iphone.

I am thrilled to see that Eve has been extabated!

Please know that if you and your wife have any questions I can answer, I am an open book.

Cheers to you all!

Re: Things I’ve Learned About This Experience, So Far…

I think you underestimate your strength. Eve gets it from somewhere. :)

Re: Things I’ve Learned About This Experience, So Far…

We have learned a lot from you too Paul.

Thank you for keeping us all in the loop. We all care about you, A.M. and Eve. I haven't wanted to bother you with phone calls as relaying info can be a big pain.

Give your girls a smooth for me.

Love you all!

Kris

Re: Things I’ve Learned About This Experience, So Far…

This is the best post I've read on this site... by far. I've been following Eve's status throughout and I've been genuinely excited, concerned, scared and optimistic. Thanks for keeping us updated and informed -- it means a lot to hear how Eve is doing.

Re: Things I’ve Learned About This Experience, So Far…

If they're removing chest tubes, that's a good sign. Hope today has continued to remove some of those lines/cords...... Hope you are getting some rest as well. And of course, I hope Eve is continuing to improve.....I'm sure it only gets better from this point. Nice to know the super critical period is behind you......
